D.R.E.A.M.ing Around the Globe

Hi Dreamers,

We wanted to provide you with an exciting update on what’s new with D.R.E.A.M. We are happy to report that exactly a month ago on Monday, July 8th, D.R.E.A.M. had the opportunity to partner with Tottenham Hotspur Foundation in England to lead a session on financial literacy for a group of eager students!

D.R.E.A.M. Co-Founder, Jaleni Thompson, and volunteer, Desmon Lewis, held a very successful session that left youth feeling excited about their finances. The students were given an introduction to the transformative D.R.E.A.M. curriculum and were led in a discussion on basic principles, such as budgeting and saving.

This session in England marks the initiation of D.R.E.A.M.’s global expansion. D.R.E.A.M. remains steadfast in our belief that financial literacy is not just important for Americans, but citizens of the world. “In the age of a global economy, financial literacy must also be viewed from a global perspective. With the growth of the middle classes in emerging market countries, financial literacy is increasingly important as these persons require the skill set to effectively manage their new found wealth. A financially literate consumer base has positive ramifications for a country’s economic growth prospects” says Chief Executive Officer, Femi Faoye. No matter the currency, country, or denomination financial literacy is important and D.R.E.A.M. is committed to being the leading provider in financial literacy education for youth.

D.R.E.A.M. extends our appreciation to Mr. Desmon Lewis for helping to organize and lead this momentous event. We appreciate your continued support.
