Moody’s Foundation Recognizes Co-Founder
/
Hi Dreamer’s,
We have some great news to share! On May 21st, 2013 The Moody’s Foundation awarded Co-Founder, Jaleni Thompson, with its annual Global Volunteer Award for employees that exemplify outstanding service in their respective communities.
The award is very coveted and highly prestigious within the Moody’s Corporation as candidates are carefully vetted on an annual basis. Jaleni was delighted and humbled to learn that the Foundation had selected him as a recipient for the award.
The award fully symbolizes the longstanding work and direct impact of the Moody’s Foundation in the community, as both Co-Founders are alumni of a college preparatory organization (Liberty LEADS) that has been a long-time Moody’s Foundation grantee. This college preparatory program is, in fact, how the two Co-Founders met. Additionally, both Co-Founders were summer analysts at Moody’s Investors Service during their undergraduate careers.
The award was presented to Jaleni Thompson by Frances G. Laserson, President of The Moody’s Foundation, and Ray McDaniel, Chief Executive Officer of Moody’s Corporation. Femi Faoye was also present to witness the momentous occasion. Here is the official press release from Moody's.
In accordance with the award, The Moody’s Foundation is granting D.R.E.A.M. a financial reward to continue spreading the message of financial literacy to urban youth. The funds will support the organization’s ongoing operation and expansion of its mission to other cities across America.
Jaleni Thompson, on behalf of D.R.E.A.M., humbly accepts the award and expresses his sincere gratitude to The Moody’s Foundation for their recognition and support.
